Keeping Staff Safe
We have introduced measures across our sites and logistics business to protect the health and safety of our employees.
The social distancing guidelines have been implemented wherever possible at our sites following guidance from the government and Food and Drink Scotland.
We have risk assessed our businesses and implemented new processes and practices such as (and not limited to)-
- Staggering breaks to avoid canteen congestion
- Re routing employees entering and leaving buildings to avoid crowding
- Erected screens between employees on production lines
- Purchased and given out visors to employees
- Installed additional hand sanitisers at key points
- Limited outside visits to sites to only essential needs
- Increased cleaning routines particularly for high touch areas
- Reduced throughput on production lines to allow for more spacing
- Where possible meetings being held via web-based platforms limiting interaction
- Where not possible we have Limited the number of people who will attend meetings to ensure social distancing can be applied
We have also actively promoted with employees the guidelines on self isolating if they have symptoms of COVID 19 and have implemented new return to work procedures in relation to this. .
Our management teams are meeting regularly to continually review this and amend things where necessary.
